The orchestra offers two annual prizes (a ‘scholarship’ of £400 and ‘exhibition’ of £250) to two string students. We welcome candidates, and encourage them to play for more than the minimum number of obligatory rehearsals.
The winners are chosen each summer from those who have played in one or more of the season’s concerts. If you would like to know more about being a paid string student, or about our award scheme, please email royalorchsoc@gmail.com.
